Le fils de Tsilaosa

Créer un jeu vidéo en 48 heures… mission impossible. Et pourtant, les participants de la Volcano Gamejam dit “les jammers” ont relevé ce défi les 24, 25 et 26 novembre 2017 à la Cité du Volcan. La Volcano GameJam est un marathon annuel de création de jeux vidéo, organisé par le Collectif Bouftang. Pendant deux jours et deux nuits les équipes doivent construire pas à pas un prototype de jeu. En 2017 le SRI (service régional de l’inventaire) s’associe à l'événement pour proposer aux jammers de s’affronter autour du thème du Marronnage. Le prototype “Le fils de Tsilaosa” remporte le Grand prix de l’édition 2017 après une course de 48 heures de ses auteurs: Eric Castieau, Romain Folio et Olivier Sicard. Le fils de tsilaosa est un jeu d’aventure qui tente de raconter la douloureuse histoire des Marrons, au travers de son personnage emblématique : Tsilaosa. Le jeu se déroule lorsqu’il s’échappe de son état de servitude pour fuir dans les hauteurs de l’île de La Réunion. Le joueur se voit évoluer dans les paysages fantasmés de l’île en essayant de fuir les colons qui le traquent et d’éviter les divers pièges naturels qui se dressent devant lui.
