The AI in this game is pretty impressive. I am a doctor and in my first minute playing the game came across a non-responsive gnome. I actually ran an ACLS algorithm with the AI and a nearby guard, including applying an AICD! The AI actually made a point to have the guard ask what the heck it was! The AI was smart enough to know what checking ABC's meant and what chest compressions are and what to do with them. The AI wasn't perfect, but it made for a very amusing encounter.

This is honestly the next step to making games. Although the ai sometimes repeat itself i am certain it will learn after a while. I can play for hours in this game. The best part is it can be anything you want it to be. You can even make a scenario of what is happening around you essentialy making a what if scenario. Though i hope they can do better with narration then the experience will be outstanding

I only use the free version of this app, but I've heard the premium is notably better in terms of the actual intelligence of the AI. It's still pretty great for RP as is, though even with a Yes And approach, editing & refreshing is often necessary bc random responses sometimes don't make sense. But that same randomness has provided some totally unexpected stories for me, it's great. Also, it's entirely text based, so no graphics to speak of. That's the only reason for 1 star.

I play this game for several hours a day and have been doing so for the past few months since August, I have to say it's really fun but only if you use as much info for the ai to use as possible, and to be descriptive but even then the ai will end scenarios with "You fall asleep" or "You harm them for no apparent reason", and occasionally messes up it's own grammar or doesn't specify who's talking so there is a lot of clipping and editing of what the ai's input is during regular gameplay.

I love AI Dungeon. Full stop. I could sit and play for days and never get bored. The AIs are genuinely the sharpest ones that I've encountered. The current base model, Griffin, is pretty good, though it takes some learning to figure out how best to phrase your writing so it can understand your intent, and the premium model, Dragon, is off the rails excellent and coherent from what I've seen so far from other users. Edit Oct 8, 2020: Dragon model is SO worth it! Highly recommend giving it a go!

Constantly improving and developing ML models means that it is continuously getting better and more coherent. The biggest issue for a while have been the AI being forgetful, but active use of the Memory and World info functions go a long way to solving that. And now they are working on making that automatic! The improved model is well worth the price if you enjoy IF, and if nothing else then to support further development of this.
