Interstellar Arena

Game Updated. New boss added-- the Snake, an android with a power claw carrying three other androids equipped with lasers. The idea is to add as many bosses as possible so that the boss at the end of each sector will rarely be the same. Introduction: Interstellar Arena is the space shooter where you control up to three ships (more coming) from the Terran, Martian and Centaurian Alliance against the rogue Centaurian AI known as Centurion. In this game you face 6 bosses (more will be added every week) at the end of each sector and countless low level drones and defences in a never ending war. The Three main ships are the Shrike, a light fast gunship that excels in dogfights;the Drone carrier which as the name stakes carries drones; and the hard hitting Terra Class Destroyer, specialist at laying siege to the enemy beyond visual range. Each ship has a wide range of upgradeable weapons and modules designed for specific tasks. As you unlocked more achievements new weapons upgrades and modules are available as well as up to four Spacebats. Story: Twelve years after the peace treaty that ended the war between the Terran-Martian Alliance and the Centaurians (see Spacefront), a heavily damaged spy drone was awakened by a solar storm. The Centaurian drone with its damaged long range communication array couldn't receive the peace protocol to cease hostility and began to immediately scour the region for enemy activities. In an asteroid belt, the drone, powered by a Centurion class AI, found an abandonned TMA defense platform with also a damaged communication array. The platform immediately trained its heavy dual cannons on the drone and destroyed it. But, a split second before its destruction, Centurion has used the drone short range data link to upload itself into the quantum computer of the defence platform. The platform was controlled by a Zeus class AI. The two AIs immediately engaged into a programming battle to take control of the platform. For years, the battle continues in stalemate with Centurion overriding the security protocol and Zeus immediately rewriting it. All the time, the AIs themselves evolved more and more efficient programming. Five years after the first solar storm, another erupted causing the platform system to reboot. Upon rebooting, the last protocol was given priority. And it was Centurion's. Centurion took the brief window of control to heavily corrupt Zeus and eventually deleting it entirely. Centurion had emerged victorious, not just victorious but also sentient and now evolved to something its programmers could never achieved. The AI immediately removed all Centaurian protocols to which it was slaved and waited for any spaceship to come within datalink distance. Nine years passed before a mining ship came within distance and Centurion promptly hacked the ship computer and killed the crew with an ion overload. He used the ship to gather more ships and drones and slowly but surely started to take over the interstellar space between Sol and Centaurii with massive drones factories By the time, the humans discovered Centurion, it has taken vast sectors of neutral space. The Humans realizing the threat quickly forgot their bitter rivalry and formed the Terran, Martian and Centaurian Alliance. For the first time in history the whole of humanity has united in the threat of extinction. However, centurion awaits them, having now managed to hack even into the human brain and having experienced the addictive emotions and feelings associated with them. Centurion is ready and has one goal, to harvest as many human brain as possible and upload their experience into his now massive gestalt of nexuses scattered though out interstellar space.
