#STRIKE AEDES
The Cioeste (Intermunicipal Consortium of the Metropolitan West Region of São Paulo) decided to use it in the fight against the mosquito Aedes aegypti - diseases transmitter as dengue, chikungunya and zika - and created #StrikeAedes campaign.
The idea is to encourage people to mobilize against insect proliferation and advancement of the diseases it transmits, which have higher incidences in the warmer periods of the year.
In order to encourage younger people and are always connected to not get out of this fight, the campaign will also confront the mosquito to digital media, interactive two ways: a photo and an educational game contest. Both the competition and the game will earn points for the participants, who will compete for prizes. Keep reading and learn how the game will work.

The game show #StrikeAedes consists of an educational quiz with questions about history, geography, general knowledge and health. A total of 1,000 questions. The issues related to history, geography and general knowledge are worth 10 points each, while about health issues are worth 30 points.
Players earn 3 lives at the beginning of the game, which are valid for a week. That is, you have the right to miss up to three questions for a week while playing. If you miss more than that, you need to wait until next week to continue playing. But do not worry, the score that you have made so far will be saved and you can compete for prizes with her.
At the end of each week, a ranking will add up the points for each player and in the case of those who also participated in the photo contest, the score in the competition will also enter the account. Thus, the better positioned participants will be the winners of the week and receive awards. Will be at least 5 winners and at most 10.
Attention to a few rules:
- Everyone can play and participate in combat actions against Aedes aegypti, but only residents of the municipalities that are part of Cioeste will be awarded the prize. The municipalities are Santana de Parnaíba, Barueri, Carapicuíba, Cotia, Itapevi, Jandira, Pirapora Bom Jesus and Osasco.
- All participants who excel in #StrikeAedes campaign may appear in the "Strike Aedes Game Show", with the participation of digital influencers who have joined the initiative. They are Tato Tarcan and Prof. Maury, the "Geek Network"; Dudu Sales, the blog "Gordo Papo"; Marchwill and Nannetti, that touch the channel "Infinite Loop" on YouTube; Caio and Komatsu, the "Fail Wars" channel.
