What he didn't realize was that the enemy had seen his plane and sent one of his planes after him to abort this deadly assault mission. The enemy plane took Sam by surprise and shot down his plane. Unable to do anything about the plane, Sam quickly gathered his gear and jumped out of the plane dived into the ocean below.
