Various animals live in the countryside. Our task is to recognize all the animals by the sounds they make and to help the shepherd boy feed them! The main skill practised: sound identification. Additional skills practised: attention, audiovisual and motor-visual coordination, memory. The purpose of the game is to familiarize children with the most common animals in the farm, based on sounds they make. The child’s task is to point to the animal (by touching it on a tablet) that made a sound. After correct sound and animal identification, the player receives a prize. In order to obtain therapeutic coherence, the speaker provides a generic name of the identified object. The game is designed for children of 3 and older, who have disorders preventing harmonious development. The game uses the natural cognitive curiosity of children, as images and sounds encourage activity. The game was developed by psychologists and therapists and it was tested in therapeutic centres in groups of early intervention.
