Drawing inspiration from the World Children’s Library, NLB ExplorerKIDS is a gamification solution that ties together single and multiplayer learning journeys through the dual platforms of a custom made mobile application and the interactive SCAR room at NLB. The solution uses a range of gamification techniques to encourage self-guided learning journeys, interactive experiences with peers and book borrowing (physical & digital). Features: ● Create your Avatar and customize with various costumes and instruments. ● Test your world knowledge in the Maps section by taking quizzes across 5 countries. ● Earn points and unlock country-specific collectibles by mastering quizzes. ● Hunt and earn Augmented Reality (AR) collectibles using your camera. ● Access and browse curated e-books to expand your world knowledge. ● Unlock, redeem, and equip costumes and instruments from different countries. ● Join others in a Stories Come Alive Room (SCAR) Jam or Village session. ● Rock out to upbeat tunes alongside fellow jammers during a SCAR Jam session. ● Roam around with fellow villagers during a SCAR Village session.
