Guide And Seek

Guide and Seek is a game based on the old “Hotter/Colder” game, where one person is seeking an object or place, and the other person is guiding them by telling them “hotter” or “colder”. With the same basic concept in mind, I have recreated this game in digital form. With the game installed on two different compatible devices (phones/tablets), one player chooses to be the Guide, and the other, the Seeker. Once connected, both are presented with a meter. At the low end of the meter, the blue bar represents being cold (far away from the target object or place). At the high end of the meter, the red bar represents being hot (very close to the target object or place). The guide is presented with two buttons. The “Hotter” button increases the meter incrementally, and the “Colder” button decreases the meter incrementally. As the meter is increased, an audible cue is also presented (similar to a proximity/radar repeating beep). The hotter the seeker gets, the audible increases in speed and pitch. The guide has a third button (Found!) available to indicate to the Seeker that they have reached the target object or place. Once the Seeker has found the object or place with the Guides help, the game has ended, and is ready to begin again if desired. NOTE: This game requires 2 android devices to be running this game, and that both devices are connected to the same Wifi network. A Wifi or CellData version will be released at a later time.
