The playing field is formed by two vertical lines crossing two horizontal lines - thus creating nine spaces. Two players alternately put Xs and Os into the empty spaces. The first player to get three vertically, horizontally or diagonally in a row wins. If all spaces are filled up with marks but no row has been filled then it's a tie.
