In the beginning, you have to choose one of them and pave the way for it. You will receive a small army of warriors and a starting resource kit. The list of resources includes building materials (wood, clay and stone), materials for making weapons (different types of metals), food (necessary for the survival of your warriors) and precious age of empires metals (used as currency).
