Rummy - card game

Rummy is a fun card game. Try to get rid of points by laying down your cards. The person with the fewest points at the end of the game wins. Players are dealt 7 cards. The dealer goes first. Start your turn by picking a card from the deck or discard pile. The dealer automatically picks up from the deck after dealing. So if you just dealt you already picked up from the deck. Lay down cards if you can or choose to hold onto them. End your turn by adding a card to the discard pile. If the card you discard can be added to a pile you or another player could say "Rummy" to prevent the next player from taking it. If the player grabs the card before someone says "Rummy" they get to take it. In this game saying "Rummy" is automatic. The round is over when a player lays down all their cards and everybody has had at least one turn. The game lasts 13 rounds. You can lay down a straight with three or more cards of the same suit or lay down three or four of a kind. Another way to get rid of cards is to add them to cards that have already been laid down. You can add to someone else's straight or three of a kind. Wild cards can represent any card. Aces are wild in the first hand, twos in the second, threes in the third, etc. all the way up to kings. If a wild card was used then you can take it by replacing it with the card it represents. However before adding to a pile or taking a wild card you need to have something down in front of you first. Aces are worth 1, jacks, queens and kings are worth 10, the other cards are worth their face value. When the card is wild it is worth 30 points. Holding on to wild cards makes it easier to lay down but you don't want to get stuck with one. Holding on to a straight or three of a kind can make it harder for other people to get rid of their cards. If you don't lay cards down then other people can not add to them but someone could go out before you lay them down. Rummy is my favorite card game. Play against 3 computer players that play like real people.
