Cell Command EDU

WELCOME TO CELL COMMAND! Cell Command gives students the ability to shrink down to a microscopic level and captain their own "cell ship" and crew in the human body. Watch as students manage various stations of the ship involved in cellular processes including the membrane, mitochondria, golgi complex, ribosomes, and DNA duplication. Every successful mission rewards the student with "cell experience" that can be used to upgrade both their ship and crew! HOW TO ACCESS Cell Command EDU includes access to the game, standards-aligned curriculum, and teacher dashboard for student progress tracking through a Filament Learning account. To sign up for a Filament Learning account, visit filamentgames.com/register. KEY LEARNING OBJECTIVES - Investigate and explain the components of the scientific theory of cells (cell theory): all organisms are composed of cells (single-celled or multi-cellular), all cells come from pre-existing cells, and cells are the basic unit of life. - Identify structures and functions of major organelles of animal cells, including cell membrane, nucleus, cytoplasm, chloroplasts, mitochondria, and vacuoles - Describe the functions performed by cells to sustain a living organism, e.g., division to produce more cells, taking in nutrients, releasing waste, using energy to do work, and producing materials the organism needs - Relate the structure of a specialized cell to the function that the cell performs QUESTIONS, FEEDBACK AND SUPPORT If you need assistance setting up, playing your game, or are just in the mood for an interesting conversation, please contact the friendly folks on our Customer Service team at [email protected]!
