Welcome to the Small World of the Fishy Trader! What is the goal? To fill the feeder with the seeds over the red dotted line (a hundred pieces). If you win several times in a row you promote your reputation to: x2 - Star (Fish) x5 - Pushy Shark x10 - Vain Whale How to win? Structure a combination using blue buttons(that change color when you press) of the Plumberg terminal to have a positive payoff above the basket (white number) in a way it occurs often enough to fill the feeder. A bit of a puzzle, isn't it? Lets go step by step now: 1. Pricing. When game is launched you will see a cheat sheet(this very instruction) and if you tap on the screen you will see 10 seeds falling into the fishbowl and then into one of 3 baskets. The Plumberg terminal will count them and put score into the blue bubbles-buttons. At this point of time you can not press buttons. 2. Structuring Now when all 10 seeds distributed - we can start structuring our product. For each basket you can go short/long or skip. Just press the buttons and see how the price on the right and other parameters change. First concept: Positive price is a gain when you go short (in other words - its a sell operation), negative price is a loss (it is buy operation, need to pay). When you go short you get paid for a risk, if the next seed from the feeder gets into this basket - you need to pay 10. When you go long you need to pay a premium (the amount in the blue bubble-button) for an opportunity to earn 10 if the next seed from the feeder gets into this basket. Second concept: big bubble on the right-hand side of the Plumberg terminal shows the price for the whole product (not for individual baskets) while the white numbers above the baskets show individual payoffs in case a seed gets into the basket. 3. Trading Once you product is ready hit on a big red button. The seeds will star falling into the fishbowl and then into the baskets. If a seed gets into the "short" basket: payoff = price - 10 (the number above the basket) If a seed gets into the "long" basket: payoff = price 10 (the number above the basket) If a seed gets into the "blank" basket: payoff = price (the number above the basket) Finally, a positive payoff number of seeds is added to the feeder, negative - removed. You can start/stop the wheel and make changes to your product structure (just need to wait until all the seeds reach the baskets) Hope at least something is clear now, if you would like more details on anything - I am more than happy to explain so please let me know!
