Make Math Easy

Make Math Easy? How? Practice, especially mental practice trains your brain, so that you can become smarter, and math to you becomes easier. "Make Math Easy" is a free educational game designed for kids to practice math mentally, improving their math capabilities, also for anyone who needs “mental gymnastics” type of stimulating activities, either for keeping their brain healthy, or just for fun. This educational game is a timed multiple-choice testing. In the “Options” screen, the episode time can be adjusted between 5 to 100 seconds. Other changeable settings, represented by easy-to-understand icons, include levels of difficulty: "Easy", "Medium", and "Hard"; and in each level, types of operation: "add", "subtract", "multiply", "divide", and a "mixed" mode of the 4 math operations; and a sound feature. These settings are saved for easy use. When playing, a question of selected operation is displayed, along with 4, 6, or 8 answers (depending on the level of difficulty) in colored boxes waiting for the user to choose from. After one of the answers is chosen, a “happy” face will be shown if the answer selected is correct, or an “unhappy” face for a wrong one. Then the process of showing a new question and new answer boxes in new colors continues until the episode ends. Then the score, or the number of correct answers versus the number of questions taken, is shown. If all are correct, a "PERFECT" banner in the language chosen will be animated into the middle of screen with claps if the sound option is enabled. Otherwise, the wrongly selected answer(s), together with the question(s) and the correct answer(s) will be shown, for further review and improvements. Among these wrongly selected answers, additional hints with examples may be displayed if there exist some math tricks for solving that kind of questions, mostly seen in multiplication, some in division, in "hard" level, some also seen in some "medium" level questions. The detailed derivation of the tricks, however, is not shown due to the limited display space and recommended to search on Internet. The best score of the testing scenario with respect to its level and math operation or mode, will be calculated according to the ratio of "number of correct answers" finished to the "time of episode" used, and displayed, and recorded to provide a goal and a measure of improvement. For mental math practice purpose, all the math questions and answers used by this educational game are in integer calculation (no decimal points to worry about). Eleven different major languages (English, Chinese, French, etc.) are provided for guidance when running the game. Screen sizes of cell phone, 7 inch and 10 inch tablet are supported. Hope you like “Make Math Easy”.
