Coast of Kobe: Small Map

This small map is intended as a tutorial. The game is meant to be played on a larger map. Fast-paced grand strategy game with fractal zoom (hexagonal rosette tiling). Kobe and Osaka compete to build great cosmopolitan centers as Japan experiences rapid urbanization. Play again and again to discover Himeji and other historic cities. Rising sea levels require strategic decisions. A special algorithm generates an amazingly detailed new map for each game; highly randomized, but preserving many characteristic features of Japanese geography. Explore the concepts of "infinite coastline" and Christaller’s "central place theory" (n = 7). Includes options for split-screen simultaneous multiplayer (tabletop gaming). One player can make use of the supplied keyboard shortcuts.
