Capixabão 2017

The Campeonato Capixaba 2017, organized by FES, will be the 101st edition of the championship. Will start on January 28, bringing together ten teams, eight 2016 Capixabão participants and the winner and runner Series B 2016. In the First Phase, the ten participants play each other in a single round, the top four advance to the Semifinals. Five teams were defined by means of a draw and will make five games with the home field (Sports Railway, St. Matthew Linhares, Royal Northwest and Twelve), the other will do just four games with the command. In the Semi-finals, which will be played in knockout system with round games and back (x 1st place 4th place and 2nd place x 3rd place). In the Finals, the winners of the Semi-finals decide the title also round games and back. The team with the best record in the First Phase has the home field in games back of the Semifinals and Finals. The champion earns the right to compete in the 2018 Brazil Cup and the D Series of 2018. The last two teams in the first phase will be demoted to Serie B in 2018.
