Arithmetic Game

I designed this game to improve my horrible arithmetic skill. The basic idea is to select numbers in a straight line from the grid and form valid arithmetic expressions. Valid operations includes: a b=c, a−b=c, a×b=c, a÷b=c, a-b=-c(This one is added out of frustration). Visit http://ravenlamb.com/ArithmeticGame for tutorial. In chain mode, the goal is to form chains of arithmetic expressions. You have to chain each number to the previous expression. For example, your first valid expression is a b=c. The next number d must form a valid expression with b?c=d where ? is one of −×÷. In adventure mode, the goal is to race against time to form as many valid arithmetic expressions as possible. The game starts with a 30-second timer. Each time you score, you add extra game time. In journey mode, the goal is to form expressions with large numbers and form as many valid arithmetic expressions as possible. The game starts with 10 moves. It takes one move to select a number. Scores reward extra moves. You lose when you have less than one move. In zen mode, the goal is to find all the distinct sets of numbers that can form valid arithmetic expressions. You get a static grid and you have to find valid expressions which all the numbers must be greater or equal to 10. The set of numbers forming each expression must be unique to score. For addition and subtraction, score=(blue) (green) (red). For multiplication and division, score=((blue) (green) (red))x(log10(blue) 1) x (log10(green) 1) x (log10(red) 1). The score is then multiplied by the current chain number. So, the larger the number, the higher you score. However, MULTIPLICATION BY ZERO is not allowed. Otherwise, it would be too easy to get a high score. Also, to add more frustration, the numbers cannot overlap or intersect each other. *This app uses Google Ads and might incur network charges.
