Ratamahatta The Game (Alpha)

Voodoo Duel Ratamahatta is a fast-paced, two-player realtime mobile game. Game world is inspired by the awesome, black magic Sepultura track and official video - macumba/voodoo claymation directed and realized by Fred Stuhr. Gameplay combines a few well known tricks into a completely new experience. Basic combat controls are ultra-intuitive and touch-optimized. Once you get it, it is as simple as Pong, Arkanoid or Space Invaders. Please remember that this is a multiplayer game in Alpha stage. You need a friend to try the duel together (or you can just challenge a random person). I can afford a vary basic online infrastructure, so latency may be high. Gameplay Gameplay presents the duel of two black magic shamans. Opponents are represented on a stage by their “ritual masks”. Each shaman try to defeat his enemy by throwing cursed stones in the opponent direction. Shaman can protect himself by building the defense shrines around his position made of runic rocks. Rocks can absorb certain amounts of projectiles energy or even stop the projectiles at all. Rocks are active only for some certain amount of time and their loose their defensive capabilities while onstage. After loosing the whole runic energy rock disappears. Shaman can also move his mask in order to avoid hitting by enemy projectiles. Throwing projectiles and placing rocks consumes the shaman's magical power – mana. Shaman can use three different kinds (colors) of mana and get different results of his actions: - Blue mana produces medium speed projectiles carrying a medium amount of energy. - Red mana produces high speed, wall-bouncing projectiles carrying small amount of energy. - Green mana produces slow but very powerful projectiles. Similar rules applies to rocks – different mana colors allows shaman to place different type of defensive structures. Shaman's mana resources are limited and their regeneration process is pretty slow. One should watch out to not misuse too much of his magical powers at once and find himself in an uncomfortable situation of having no power to defend his position. In order to win the game shaman has to defeat his enemy in at least two rounds. Every round lasts 90 seconds. Power-ups Once in every duel user can use a special ability - order his shaman to perform a ritual. Ritual is a kind of complex power up that affects the whole duel gameplay and can decide about loosing or winning the game: - gives a player a temporary one mana regeneration boost (implemented) - switches all user mana resources to one selected color (not implemented) - provide a health regeneration for a short time period (not implemented)
